Like his wife Dana, Arkell’s life was transformed by the birth of their son Kaleb, who arrived 17 weeks early and spent nearly a year in the NICU. This experience gave Arkell a deep understanding of the emotional and logistical challenges that NICU families face, driving his commitment to support other families going through similar experiences. As Vice President, he plays a crucial role in shaping the organization’s outreach and support programs, ensuring that every family receives the care they need.

Arkell’s background is rooted in service and leadership. He is a graduate of Petersburg High School and pursued Criminal Justice studies at Virginia State University. A proud Army Veteran, Arkell has dedicated over 20 years to serving his country, including a distinguished career at the Bureau of Prisons, where he is a departmental lead. Beyond his professional duties, Arkell is actively involved in his community, volunteering as an assistant football coach at a local high school and participating in the 12th Masonic District.
